A First Wedding Anniversary Idea - Trash the Dress

Caves Beach, Central Coast, NSW

10.11.17

The idea to many brides of "Trashing their Wedding Dress" sounds absolutely dreadful, but it really depends on how you plan to do it!  I have captured many Trash the Dress Photo sessions, which I like to do either at sunrise or sunset as the light is the most beautiful and romantic and always at the beach.  Often a wedding dress is quite dirty around the bottom (especially if it has a train), and brides worry about whether the dirt will ever come out, even with dry cleaning.  I have had brides arrive for a trash the dress photo session at the beach and the bottom of the dress is dirty, but by the time the photo shoot is over, it is clean, apart from a bit of sand which nothing but a hose down will fix at home and then maybe if you still want to, take it off to the dry cleaners and it's ready for storing.

Yesterday I captured a couple who chose to Trash the Dress on their first wedding anniversary.  I suggested a beautiful nearby beach on the Central Coast as they had traveled up from Sydney and weren't too sure of a good sunrise location.  I chose Caves Beach, which has a beautiful rock cave and is absolutely beautiful at sunrise.  We arrived at first light and the dawn revealed some cloud in the sky which is an added bonus. For the next couple of hours we had a lot of fun and the "groom" surprised the "bride" and presented her with an eternity ring.  Here are some photos from yesterday morning, which I would like to share with you.

Wedding Photography Awards - Artistique Wedding Photography

Artistique Wedding Photography

Bride's Choice Awards - Central Coast NSW

23.10.17

In September Brides of the Central Coast were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite wedding suppliers, ranging from venues, florists, make up artists, caterers, photographers and the list goes on.  Over 3000 brides voted over 500 businesses.  Many of those businesses were photographers.  I learned that I was a Finalist (one of 30) in the Photography section when I received an email.  I was invited to attend a Gala Cocktail Event at the Pullman Magenta Shores Resort last night.  Not thinking for one moment I would make it from the Finalists to the Top Ten Photographers.  To my surprise I saw my business name - Artistique Photography by Nicolette - appear on the screen and listed in the Top Ten, and went up to receive my award.

I would like to thank the many brides who voted for me, and there must have been a few.  I really appreciate it and it is nice to be recognised for the passion and hard work I put into my photography.

On a slightly humorous note, I decided to buy this orange tee shirt for a bit of fun!  It arrived all in good time, this morning so I couldn't help but wear it for a little while today for a photo!

I am looking forward to capturing the many weddings I have booked for this and next year and beyond, and meeting new brides too.

Once again a bit thank you!

Pop on over to my updated website - Wedding, Portrait, Maternity Photographer.

Artistique Wedding Photography

Updated Website

www.ArtistiqueWeddingPhotography.com.au

A website should be updated often and I try to do this, even if it is just popping a few fresh photos on the website, some new testimonials etc.  I do know of some photographers who have told me they haven't changed any photos in five or more years.  Photography and a photographer's skills are forever evolving.  I would love you to pop on over to my website and have a look.

Here is a little about me:

I am an Accredited Professional Wedding and Portrait Photographer based at Toowoon Bay, Central Coast, NSW. Member of MPA (Master Photographer Assn), WPPI & AIPP.

Wedding Photography is my passion, there is something magical about capturing a couple’s Wedding Day.  People ask me if I get sick of capturing weddings, as I have captured hundreds of them and they think a wedding is a wedding, that they are all the same, and I say not at all, each and every one of them is very unique because each and every couple are unique!

There is no one style I photograph, but more a culmination of traditional, contemporary, mix of modern photojournalism, candid, fun and creativity.  I capture the spontaneity, joy and excitement of and nothing is more beautiful than real smiles and enchanting glances, creating memories that last forever holding sentimental value through the generations.

I have many years of experience, having captured hundreds of weddings in many different locations and all weather conditions, cultures and customs on the Central Coast NSW, Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Sydney, Wollongong and New Zealand.

I fit in like a guest at weddings, have a relaxed, friendly yet professional style and for those who may be a little nervous, there is the added bonus of an inclusive pre wedding photo session for my three main packages.  You can be assured there are lots of laughs and couples often say to me how at ease I made the feel on their Wedding Day and how much fun it was.

I am told my photographs look different to a lot of others; light and composition is also very important in capturing beautiful images.  I love working with natural light.

We are very lucky on the Central Coast NSW with so many beautiful locations for beach and garden weddings and an hour away the beautiful vineyards of the Hunter Valley.  I can help couples decide the best location for their wedding along with recommending other wedding suppliers, celebrants, make up artists, florists, cake makers etc.

I offer a range of affordable Wedding Photography Packages along with the option for a tailor made package (including Elopement Packages 2-3hrs).  I have a range of beautiful wedding umbrellas / parasols of all different colours and styles, which brides are welcome to use.

I also undertake Family Portrait, Maternity (I have a selection of beautiful maternity gowns), Engagement and other photographic work also.  Please see my “Packages” page.

I offer one of the best Wedding Photography experiences on the Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Sydney and beyond.

To view some of my work please look at my “Galleries” page.

My experience and know how will ensure you an incredible journey on your Wedding Day.  My contact details are on my Website.

Courtney and Steve are Married

1.10.17

The weather over the last couple of months has been absolutely perfect for weddings - not good for the gardens, but so many sunshine hours and it was just brilliant for Courtney and Steve's wedding day last weekend.  Courtney and Steve had their ceremony, formal photos and reception at the Gosford Regional Art Gallery (Japanese Gardens) where I have captured many many weddings previously.  The gardens always look immaculate, and if it is a windy day, then it is quite sheltered as well.

Here are some photos from their lovely wedding:
