I thought it was time I wrote a little blog about Me, the Photographer behind Artistique Wedding Photography, so here goes: 

I am an Accredited Professional Photographer based at Toowoon Bay, Central Coast, NSW. Member of MPA (Master Photographer Assn), WPPI & AIPP.

 

Wedding Photography is my passion, there is something magical about capturing a couple’s Wedding Day and each wedding is unique.

There is no one style I photograph, but more a culmination of traditional, contemporary, mix of modern photojournalism, fun and creativity.  I capture the spontaneity, joy and excitement of your Wedding Day; nothing is more beautiful than real smiles and enchanting glances, creating memories that last forever holding sentimental value through the generations.

I have over 6 years’ experience, having captured over 150 weddings in many different locations and weather conditions, cultures and customs on the Central Coast NSW, Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Sydney, Wollongong and New Zealand.

I fit in like a guest at your wedding, have a relaxed yet professional style and for those who may be a little nervous, there is the added bonus of an inclusive pre wedding photo session.  You can be assured there are lots of laughs and couples often say to me how at ease I made the feel on their Wedding Day and how much fun it was.

Chris and Katie's Pre Wedding Photo Session

26.3.17

Katie and Chris finally had their beautiful sunset pre wedding photo session on Sunday.  After (3) postponements due to wet weather on the Central Coast NSW over 2 - 3 weeks, I rescheduled the photo session yet again, looking at the weather forecast several days out from the previous booking date.  The venue was at the Crack Neck Lookout at the top of Bateau Bay, Central Coast and the weather just perfect.  We had a lot of fun!

Katie and Chris will be marrying in just a few days time at a beautiful church location in Gosford and I shall be posting a Blog of their wedding after next weekend.

Here are some photos from their pre wedding / engagement photo session.  I include this one hour (in the hour before sunset where the light is most beautiful and romantic) in my three standard packages for Wedding Photography.  Otherwise, I offer it as a separate Engagement Package also listed in my Photography Packages.  There are some beautiful locations here on the Central Coast, from beautiful Somersby Falls, to Norah Head Rock Platform/beach, Long Jetty and many other spots along the coast.

Chloe & Jordan's pre wedding Photo Session

Sunday 12 March 2017 at Norah Head, Central Coast, NSW

It was a wild windy day, but fortunately no rain for Chloe and Jordan's photo session at the rock platform at Norah Head.  We had a lot of wind blown fun! 

 I include a one hour outdoor photo session in my 3 standard wedding photography packages.  This is a great opportunity to see how the couple relate to one another in front of the camera and a closer rapport is built between myself and the couple as well.  Couples often say to me at the planning meeting that they hate having their photos taken, but after their pre wedding photo session I ask "how was that" and the response is, "it was fun, you made us feel at ease", and they get approx 40 nice photos as well!  The pre wedding photo session is done in the few months prior to the wedding and at a location on the NSW Central Coast.  I have 4 locations that I recommend.

Rach and Will are Married - Wedding Ceremony and Formals.

 

Saturday 4 March 2017 at Bonnells Bay, NSW

 

Congratulations to Rach and Will on their beautiful wedding last Saturday. Everyone was a little apprehensive given the very bad weather report and no "wet weather" venue for their Wedding Ceremony. So, their Ceremony was to go ahead outside at Bonnells Bay on the shores of Lake Macquarie in rain, hail, wind or storm - and so it did! It rained heavily and umbrellas were held over the bride and groom during the Ceremony. I was grateful to my Assistant who was able to keep my camera/lens dry by holding a massive umbrella up and to know my every move in capturing their Ceremony for them and so keeping me dry! Guests were all huddled under umbrellas and the signing of the Register was done in the back of the Celebrant's car.

After the formal part of the day was over the bride and groom and my assistant and I moved to another nearby location for formal bridal party photos and took advantage of tiny breaks in the weather where heavy rain became drizzle and then it was back to heavy showers, wind and thunder soon began to roll in just as we were finishing off - good timing!  I always like to recommend to couples that they have a wet weather option, but we made it through, if not a little more than damp at the end of the formal photos!

After the ceremony Rach and Will had an informal Wedding Reception at their home just a walk around the corner from where their formal photos were.  You will see a photo of them walking home to begin their married life!
